1. Common Areas
The common areas of the property are very spacious and inviting. The choice of decore has a "beach" feel to it, with many white and blue colours, and ocean accents such as seashells used.

2. Living Space
The living room was very clean and accommodating, yet fairly underwhelming. This is not really surprising, as traditional hotel properties typically sport dull furniture and accessories. The air conditioning unit seemed fairly dated, compared to newer mini-split models seen in more updated properties. There was also carpet throughout, which in many properties is being phased out. None the less, everything was very clean and in good order of repair.

3. Bedroom
There was one bedroom, with a Queen sized bed. Again, similar to the living room space, the furniture was underwhelming and drab. Regardless, it was, again, in excellent state of repair and very clean. The bed itself was extremely comfortable, and the storage ottoman at the foot of the bed was very handy.

4. Bathroom
There was one bathroom, with a separate glass shower and jetted bathtub. This is certainly the highlight of the room as a whole. The bathroom was spotlessly clean, with plenty of space, and high gloss tiled floor. There were to "his" and "hers" above-counter sinks. The glass door shower was fully tiled, and imparted a very luxurious feel. The jetted bathtub was also surrounded by the same tiling, further developing on the luxury-style feel of the entire room. In contrast, the bathroom vastly exceeds the dull, unmotivating decor of the rest of the suite.

A very nice added, and unexpected, touch is the LED mood lighting in the jetted bathtub. It is possible to change the illuminating colours, adding a fun twist to bath time.

5. Cleanliness
It has already been mentioned previously, but this suite was exceptionally clean. Hotel carpets are, on a whole, impossible to keep in pristine, clean condition. None the less, the carpets in this unit were exceptionally clean. All surfaces were clean, and no dust or dirt was found anywhere. The bathroom was impeccably clean, with not a single hair or speck of dust to be found anywhere. The cleanliness of this property is certainly something worth taking specific note of.

6. Amenities
The resort has numerous amenities available for guests.

There was an indoor pool, hot tub and fitness centre. These facilities appeared to be in good state of repair, and were of expected size.

While the resort does have ocean view rooms, many rooms don't have such views. However, the ocean is not far away, and is accessible right from the hotel property. The pier and boat launch area is absolutely worth checking out.

7. Noise
There was very little noise or disturbance to report. The rooms seemed to be well insulted for sound, and despite the property being very full, very little noise was experience, and certainly not enough to be worthy of reporting.

8. Parking
The resort has a medium sized parking lot at the front of the building, as well as a small underground parkade, which is accessed at the side of the building. Even with both areas available, parking can be troublesome if the resort has many guests. During this stay, both areas were completely full, and on-street parking had to be found. Regardless, parking is free, which was appreciated.

9. Staff interactions
The staff at Prestige Oceanfront Resort were very attentive and friendly. Aside from checking in and checking out, there was no other interaction with the staff. But those two experiences were met with smiles and a friendly attitude. Luxury resort accommodations often fall down in this regard, with having snooty, rude and entitled staff. Therefore, this aspect of the experience was very well received.

10. Location
Sooke is a very small community along the southern shore of British Columbia's Vancouver Island. The community is a bit spread-out, and not much is within realistic walking distance. Given this, it is fairly important to have independent transportation. Aside from this, the property is located centrally within Sooke, with none of the amenities of the community very far away. In respect to the ocean and beautiful scenery, you can't be in a better spot than the Prestige Oceanfront Resort. The wood pier and boat launch right next to the hotel ensure that you aren't more than a stone's throw away from the majestic Pacific Ocean.

11. Cost
There are 5 cost categories that LuxuryReview.ca utilizes. They comprise of the following:
     Category E - <$100.00 per night
     Category D - $100.00 to $249.00 per night

     Category B - $500.00 to $999.00 per night
